East London is a city on the southeast coast of South Africa. The city lies on the Indian Ocean coast, largely between the Buffalo River and the Nahoon River. The city formed around the only river port in South Africa, and was originally known as Port Rex.
East London's tourism industry has grown greatly over the past few years. The East Coast Resorts are a fantastic collection of small villages with many people living there but a very tranquil setting for a family holiday.

East London is in the global top ten most moderate climates, which is one of the reasons that people prefer to live in this corner of paradise. Situated on the Indian Ocean coast between Cape Town and Durban, East London has a perfect climate with mild, temperate conditions. Cooler than the hot, humid eastern coast, and warmer than the cold, wet south western area, Chintsa is just "right". Summer days hover between 24/28 deg Celsius, and in winter the mercury seldom drops below the low 20s. It is splendid golfing weather and it enhances the estate's leisurely lifestyle.
